Day tripDay Trip from Casablanca to Rabat
The Hassan II Mosque, then Rabat’s Kasbah of the Udayas, Hassan Tower and royal mausoleum – two cities in one day.

Many visitors arrive in Casablanca, and it deserves more than a glance. The Hassan II Mosque alone, rising over the Atlantic, is worth the stop.
Casablanca is Morocco’s largest city and main business centre. Its 20th-century centre has a remarkable collection of Art Deco and Mauresque buildings from the protectorate era.
The Hassan II Mosque, completed in 1993, stands partly over the ocean and has one of the tallest minarets in the world. It is one of the few mosques in Morocco that non-Muslims can visit, on guided tours outside prayer times.
Mild all year thanks to the Atlantic. Spring and autumn are ideal; winter can be grey and rainy.
Day trip or overnight? Casablanca is far from the Sahara. Merzouga is best reached on a multi-day tour via Marrakech or Fes, with at least two overnight stops on the way to and from the dunes.
