DAY 1: MARRAKECH– TELOUET – AIT BENHADDOU – OUARZAZATE

You will be picked up by your driver at your Marrakech riad/hotel at 8:00 a.m., taken to your private vehicle, and transported from Marrakech to Ouarzazate. As you travel between the two cities through the Tizi-N-Tichka passes, you will enjoy the winding mountain roads, stunning scenery with a variety of colors (Ounila valley), and the Berber villages. The Glaoui Palace is located in Telouet Kasbah, which is the following stop, and Ait Benhaddou, a well-known stronghold that was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987, is the next stop.

you will take a walk and cross the dried river with your driver to discover Ait Benhaddou and dominate the Kasbahs. Ait Benhaddou is a World Heritage site that has been used as a backdrop for more than 20 films including “Gladiator” “Indiana Jones” and “Lawrence of Arabia”. DAY 2: OUARZAZATE – AGDEZ – NKOB– MERZOUGA DESERT

You will leave for the Erg Chebbi sand sea dunes after breakfast, traveling through the volcanic Anti-Atlas Mountains area and past the intersection of the Agdez and Draa valleys. You go to the little Desert town of Rissani, which is in southeast Morocco and is well-known for its traditional market and petrified rocks. The night will be spent in the nomadic tented camp or even outside beneath the shooting stars as you go further into the Merzouga desert (also known as Erg Chebbi), where you will experience a camel walk to reach your camp and enjoy the sunset on the way. Climb the sand dunes or play drums with the camel drivers. Dinner and a night of camping in the Sahara desert at Merzouga.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA - ERFOUD - TODRA GORGE - DADES VALLEY

You will ride back to the hotel on camels for a quick shower and to meet up with your driver, the tour will proceed to Dades Valley stopping at the Todra Gorges, a popular canyon for rock climbers; where you can peacefully hike for an hour or two and have lunch in a local restaurant. Overnight in authentic kasbah, guesthouse style hotel.

You pass through Kelaa Mgouna, known as the “city of flowers,” on your way there. Over the Tizi n’Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains, we continue our journey to Marrakesh. In the middle of the Atlas Mountains, a lunch break. Your 4-day round trip to the desert from Marrakech comes to a close with a drop-off at your riad or hotel.
