OURIKA DAY TRIP

Your day excursion to the Ourika Valley begins at 9:00 a.m. with a pickup from your hotel by our driver. This is followed by a brief drive into the Atlas Mountains’ foothills from Marrakech. We’ll travel along the Ourika Valley Road before entering through a string of clinging mountain communities. As we travel through the hillsides, we pause to admire beautiful landscapes bursting with colour.

The traditional home of a Berber family who resides in the valley will be our first visit. The family will offer us tea and serve us their typical local breakfast, which consists of bread, honey, butter, and olive oil. The family frequently opens their home to guests who want to appreciate their surroundings.

Later, we’ll carry on with our trip to Setti Fatma, a popular weekend getaway for many Moroccans. Highly regarded for its lovely streams, seven cascades, stunning cliffs, and lush valleys. You’ll travel through an area where traditional farming methods from the Middle Ages are still used. Take a stroll around the valley to capture the green terraces and Atlas mountains in your pictures. Then, hike to the first waterfall with a local guide.

We return for lunch in a nice restaurant with a stunning view of the mountains after the trek, and the menu will include a variety of Moroccan dishes. (Vegetarians are welcome). We then drive back to Marrakech in the late afternoon and drop you off at your accommodation once more.
