Itinerary for a 5-day trip in Morocco from Fes to Marrakech. You will see so many wonderful destinations in these 5 days and 4 nights. The tour begins in Fes. Ifrane, the Moroccan Switzerland, and the cedar forest will be our first stops. Lunch in Midelt is followed by a drive along the magnificent Ziz river. We then arrive in Merzouga, a desert in the Sahara. Spend the night in a luxurious tent in the middle of the desert where you may ride camels. Enjoy the Sahara’s breathtaking sunsets and sunrises as well. Also, you will go to the Erfoud fossil town and the Rissani traditional market. After that, explore the Todra and Dades gorges as well as the other Kasbahs, including Ait Ben Haddou and Amridil. Ultimately, pass via the Tizi-n-Tichka pass and the High Atlas highlands. In Marrakech, the tour concludes.

ITINERARY OF 5 DAYS DESERT TOUR FROM FES TO MARRAKECH

1st day: Fes - Ifrane - Cedars forest - Midelt - Ziz valley - Merzouga Sahara

The schedule for the five-day desert excursion begins with an early pick-up from the airport or your Fes lodging. Then we take a southerly route through Imouzzer to Ifrane, which is renowned for its subzero temperatures, snowfall, and chalet-style homes. Ifrane is often referred to as the Switzerland of Morocco. The Barbary Macaques dwell in the cedar forest, which is where we next go. While exploring the forest, feel free to give them food. We continue on to Midelt later on, when lunch will be provided. Later, after travelling down the Ziz river and via the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass, we continue on to the Sahara desert.

As we get to Merzouga in the Sahara, you switch to riding camels to traverse the arid desert. On top of a tall dune, a stop will be made so that you may take in the spectacular sunset. Continue on to the luxury camp in the desert, where you can dance around the campfire to the sounds of Berber drums under a starry, open sky. Dinner and a night spent camping.

2nd day: Explore Merzouga region - Nomads - Khamlia - Merzouga lake - Erg Chebbi - palm grove

In order to see the stunning sunrise in the middle of the desert, you must get up early in the morning. Availability for breakfast. After that, you ride camels back to Merzouga, where the driver is waiting. We set aside the day to investigate the Merzouga region. There are so many amazing places in the area, including sand dunes, a wild lake, mines, fossil locations, and magnificent oasis. which are perfect locations for a wide range of outdoor activities.

In Merzouga, we begin our tour by travelling off-road to a former eyeliner mine. Then, while inside their custom-made woven tent, we pay the nomads a visit. By sipping a cup of Berber tea, discover their way of life. Our next stop is the village of Khamlia, where you may take in performances of Gnaoua dancing and music. The majority of its residents are from sub-Saharan nations including Mali, Sudan, and Niger. Lunch on your own in a restaurant. We then go through a grove of palm trees. Then travel a short distance to witness Merzouga’s wild lake, also known as Flamingo Lake. the meal and the night in an inn.

3rd day: Merzouga Sahara - Rissani - Erfoud - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

After breakfast, we depart towards Rissani town, the former seat of Tafilalet, before returning to the desert. A sizable souk in Rissani, which is still a significant trading hub in the area, is active on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

A trip through the Rissani Souk is followed by a visit to one of the petrified marble workshops in Erfoud. To get to the Todra Gorges, we then drive via the palm plantations of Touroug and Tinjdad. The Todra River’s flow formed a massive canyon through the mountains, creating a gorge with steep red cliff sides. Rock climbers will love these gorges as a place to practise. You are welcome to explore the gorges and take in the scenery. Lunch on your own in a restaurant. Later, after passing through Boumalne Dades, we continue to the Dades valley. Stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation are unavoidable. And on a vantage point on a mountain that looks down on the Dades valley. Finally, supper and a hotel stay.

4th day: Dades Valley - Roses Valley - Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate

We continue on to Kalaa Magouna to see the Rose Valley after breakfast. Each May, a Rose Festival is celebrated. where the locals sell a variety of rose-related goods, including cosmetics, rose water, and rose oil. Lunchtime free time. After that, we go via Skoura’s palm orchards to the Kasbah of Amridil. Finally, we arrive in Ouarzazate, where we tour the filming locations for well-known movies and the Taourirt Kasbah. Dinner and a hotel stay the next day.

5th day: Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Telouet - High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

We leave on the final day to see the well-known Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. a town with defences designated by UNESCO as a World Historic Site. Moreover, the Kasbah has been featured in a many of films and TV shows, including Game of Thrones and Gladiator. The High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-N-Tichka pass are crossed on the way to Marrakesh. There will be breaks for lunch and photo opportunities at noteworthy locations.
