OUZOUD DAY TRIP

Your driver from Sahara desert safari will pick you up after breakfast at your hotel or riad to begin your 2:30-hour day journey from Marrakech to the Ouzoud waterfalls. (160 km).

Reaching the small hamlet of Ouzoud, we will begin our tour by passing by a number of olive fields as you take in the breathtaking Atlas mountain scenery. From here, we will begin our descent past the numerous cafes and souvenir shops. Your first view of the waterfalls will be just before you begin climbing the steps, and it will appear heaving.

If you are in excellent shape and have good boots on, certainly take the alternate route to the waterfalls’ base. It is more enjoyable but slightly more difficult, and you will see more monkeys there.

If you are visiting Morocco in the summer, it not only offers the best waterfall views and great swimming possibilities, but it also serves as a place to unwind. There are little boats you can board for a trip. Since it is simple to cross to the other shore on foot, these boats are of little practical use. However, they are there merely for aesthetic purposes.

The well-known macaque monkeys, who by nature lack tails and can be seen performing in Marrakech’s main plaza, also call this area home. It is lovely to observe them frolicking in their natural environment. There are a number of lunch spots (not included) with breathtaking vistas.

After lunch and when your visit is over, we’ll travel back to Marrakech, where we’ll drop you off at your hotel and bring an end to your Marrakech day trip to the Ouzoud waterfalls.
